Welcome to tread.foundation TREAD is a political and citizen community born inside the universe of Star Citizen. Our goal is to build a real democracy: equal, autonomous, experimental, and shared by everyone. This website is not finished: this is the beginning of the path. The foundation is set — the rest will grow with you. ⸻ Our vision We believe in a democracy where everyone participates, where no one keeps power, and where sortition guarantees political equality. Our aim is to experiment with a living, militant, and truly shared democratic system. ⸻ Our system • Main Chamber (sortition): decides laws and orientations. • Oversight Chamber (sortition): monitors, evaluates, can dissolve in case of drift. • Scientific Chamber (unanimous selection): provides knowledge to support decisions. • Government (elected): does not decide; it executes faithfully. ⸻ In Star Citizen TREAD is also an organization in the Star Citizen universe.
